Jeans

“I wish I had invented blue jeans. They are the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant.” - Andy Warhol

Cutoffs and jeans were--literally--cut from the same cloth, but jeans were the real uniform of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Common laborers like mechanics, farmers, and truck drivers wore them...as did rockstars and Hollywood heartthrobs. Jeans were simultaneously practical, sexy, and cool. Everyone wears jeans now, of course. But in those days they seemed especially at home on men—broken in, sun-faded, and molded in all the right places. Let’s just say denim could be very…informative.
