Close-up Wrap-up: Art vs Porn

Thanks to everyone who jumped into the Art vs. Porn chat yesterday—you definitely stretched my thinking a bit. Here’s what I’m walking away with:

  • Porn can be an art form.
  • What seems to separate it out is intent—aiming to sexually arouse.
  • Soft-core implies it, hard-core shows it—genitals, penetration, the whole deal.
  • By that definition, even a visible penis could push something into hard-core territory…which starts to feel a little extreme, given how the male body is naturally built.
