Necklaces

Another accessory that can get lost in a full outfit but really stands out when worn alone. I like how a necklace can frame a man's face, draw your eye across his chest, or hang low enough to point you toward something else. A little bling and sparkle, like a garland around a Christmas tree. Or maybe just a strip of leather or rope, hinting at something a bit kinkier. There's also something slightly androgynous about necklaces that I find appealing. Something pretty hanging delicately around a hunk of brawn. The contrast only makes him look more masculine to me.

1. Unknown model wearing a gold rope chain necklace in tall grass in partial shade lighting.

2. Unknown model wearing a necklace.

3. Charles Berendo wearing a necklace and leaning on a stool by Russ Warner c. 1959.

4. Shilo by J.Wayne Higgs 1969. Higgs was based in Washington, D.C. and took nude self-portraits over a 50 year period.

5. Vincent Dan possibly by Jim French c. 1980.

6. Jordan Hunter wearing a herringbone chain necklace and reclining wet on a towel by Jim French c. 1979.

7. Terry Marker by Mike Arlen in the late 70s or early 80s. I like the thin mustache, small patch of chest hair, and natural bush here.

8. Tony Romano by Jim French wearing a military dog tag on a necklace c. 1986.

9. Tiger wearing camouflage pants and a necklace by Jim French in the mid-80s.

10. John David wearing a peace sign pendant necklace possibly by Walter Kundzicz in the late 60s to early 70s.

Please leave thoughts, questions, corrections or additions in the comments. This set brought forward a lot of confusing accreditation so your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you as always, bns
